Who can join?

Young people

We offer opportunities for young people aged 4 to 25, with activities tailored to each age group:

  • Squirrels (4–5) – a fun and friendly introduction to Scouting
  • Beavers (6–7) – adventure, games and learning new skills
  • Cubs (8–10½) – teamwork, outdoor activities and challenges
  • Scouts (10½–14) – bigger adventures and practical skills
  • Explorers (14–18) – independence, leadership and challenge
  • Scout Network (18–25) – flexible involvement, adventure and volunteering

How to join

To register your interest in joining Scouts in Leatherhead District, please complete the form on this page. This helps us find the most suitable local group or section for you.

Submitting the form does not commit you to anything. A local volunteer will be in touch to talk through next steps and availability.

Volunteering with Scouts

Scouts is run by volunteers, and new helpers are always welcome. You do not need any previous experience and roles are flexible to fit around work and family life.

If you are interested in volunteering, either as an adult or through the Young Leader Programme, you can indicate this on the form below or visit our volunteering pages.
