Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers play a vital role in Scouting, helping young people develop skills for life through fun, adventure and teamwork. Across Leatherhead District, volunteers support Scout Groups in many different ways, and every contribution makes a real difference.

You do not need to have been in Scouts before. Whether you have lots of time or only a small amount to offer, there are flexible volunteering opportunities to suit you.

What can adult volunteers do?

There are many ways to get involved, depending on your interests, skills and availability.

Adult volunteers may:

  • Help at weekly meetings
  • Support camps, trips and outdoor activities
  • Take on leadership or assistant roles
  • Share specific skills such as cooking, first aid or outdoor activities
  • Support behind the scenes with admin, fundraising or trustee roles

You can start small and build up your involvement over time if you wish.

What support will I receive?

All adult volunteers are supported to help them feel confident and prepared.

How long we retain your data
